As a reminder, the Urgo Foundation was keen to support and promote innovative initiatives and practices designed to improve wound care, developed by nurses working in community practice, either individually or in a group.

The Urgo Foundation thus launched a call for projects, open to one or several community nurses working either part or full time. It may be a new project or a project that is under way but not completed at the time the applicant submits their proposal.

Examples of initiatives

• Creating tools promoting the coordination of care between the various health professionals involved.
• Developing initiatives that bring patients and helpers into the wound care and prevention process.
• Developing tools or recommendations to improve patients’ quality of life.
• Designing innovative treatment equipment and techniques.

Funding

Between one and three projects will be chosen on the basis of their quality by a selection committee made up of health professionals and Urgo Foundation representatives.
A total fund of €10,000 will be split between the projects to support their implementation.
