The Leg Ulcer and Compression Week is an international event aiming at raising awareness and educating healthcare professionals on the management and treatment of patients with venous leg ulcers.
This year in France, the Leg Ulcer and Compression Week took place from November 21st to 27th.
For this new edition, the Urgo Foundation has joined forces with health professionals recognized for their expertise to offer two webinars. The objective? To address to the major challenges faced by front-line caregivers of this pathology: nurses and general practitioners.
The webinar for physicians was led by Dr. Meaume (Dermatologist and geriatrician at Rothschild Hospital) and Dr. Carvalho (Dermatologist at Rouen University Hospital).
The program included topics such as the choice of compression system, prescription and referral to a specialist.
The webinar for nurses was led by Dr. Nou (Vacular Physician at the Montpellier University Hospital), as well as Dr. Michon-Pasturel and Dr. Axelle Moreau (Vascular Physicians and IPA at the Saint Jospeh Hospital). It was an opportunity to present placement techniques, tips for complex cases and ended with a Q&A session.
These events brought together nearly 1,000 participants and the feedback on the content was very positive.
