Raising awareness on the burden of living with a Diabetic Foot Ulcer

Foot ulcers are wounds related to a vascular cause that can lead to severe complications.

Little known to the public, they can be a hardship for affected patients.

Raising awareness and provide healthcare professionals with the best practices to fight theses wounds are key to the Urgo Foundation.

That is why the Foundation is proud to sponsor the creation of a Patient’s Testimonial to raise awareness on the burden of living with a Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) in China.

This video will be used during various events and on social media & websites to show the reality of living within a DFU.

Fighting against the Epydermoysis Bullosa Disease

The Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a rare genetic skin disorder affecting many children around the world.

Indeed, this disease causes blisters on the skin that weaken it. At the slightest friction, blisters become open wounds that cannot heal. An indescribable pain for children, it is also a burden for their families.

The Foundation has recently been strongly involved in two actions:

The Shanghai Butterfly Football Cup organized by the Rotary Club of Shanghai Elysée, which support children with EB.

A partnership with Debra, a national charity association that supports individuals and families affected by EB.

Through this partnership, the URGO Foundation donated woundcare dressings to help children affected by the disease and co-organized trainings for families, to help take care of their children at home.
