In May and June 2025, the Fondation URGO played an active role in the clinical and scientific dialogue on women’s health during menopause by participating in three major national gynecology congresses.
This widespread presence—in Rome, Ferrara, and Milan—served not only as an important opportunity for professional development, but also as a meaningful occasion for direct engagement with the relevant medical and scientific community.

The 2nd Course on Menopause: A Global Vision, held in Rome on May 9, addressed the most recent strategies for the prevention and treatment of menopause. The program offered a detailed examination of current treatment options aimed at managing the symptoms that most frequently impact on women’s quality of life, including hot flashes, sleep disturbances, and increased cardiovascular and osteoporosis risks.

The Gynecological Day in Ferrara, held on June 20, provided a platform for professional updates on key gynecological topics such as vulvovaginal infections, endometriosis, vulvodynia, and sleep disorders in post-menopausal women. Special attention was given to personalized therapies, integrating the use of nutraceuticals with traditional pharmacological treatments.

The 6th Joint National Congress of SIM (Italian Menopause Society) and SIGITE (Italian Society of Gynecology of the Third Age), held in Milan on June 24–25, placed menopausal women at the heart of the event. With 500 participants from across Italy, the congress fostered interdisciplinary dialogue among specialists in gynecology, endocrinology, and urology. Six sessions explored a range of themes, from hormone therapies during menopause to genitourinary syndrome, offering in-depth discussions on specific conditions that may arise during this transitional phase in a woman’s life.

These three key events reaffirm the Fondation URGO’s commitment to raising awareness and promoting continuous education on crucial issues aimed at improving women’s health and quality of life.
