Endometriosis: the URGO Foundation commits!
In February, the Urgo Foundation organized the first “endometriosis evening” in Nîmes, in partnership with the EndoFrance association.
Bringing together members of the pharmacy profession, midwives and URGO employees, this first evening was a concrete expression of the Foundation’s commitment to fighting the chronic pain associated with endometriosis and its delayed diagnosis. Affecting more than one in 10 women, this chronic disease has a major impact on patients’ quality of life. Given this situation, how can we best support patients in their care?
An interactive conference, led by midwife Anaïs Recasens and pharmacist France Viroux, provided an opportunity to :
- Raise awareness and train the pharmacy team to detect cases of endometriosis,
- Inform healthcare professionals of the value of electrotherapy as a non-drug alternative for relieving menstrual pain and improving patients’ quality of life,
- Demonstrate the importance of collaboration between pharmacy teams and midwives.
See you soon for a renewed endometriosis evening!
